A slightly bigger brother in the KH keeper family

Larger dimensions provide more space for easier manipulation inside the device. KH keeper Plus has a large laboratory-quality probe and two quiet stepper motors. It can be controlled in an intuitive and user-friendly manner.

Measurement accuracy is 0.01 dKH

The KH keeper measures KH value by sampling water directly from the aquarium.
Readings may take place in daily cycles, every 1-12 hours.

Amazing precision and build simplicity

High-quality components and precise control algorithms allow the device to provide extremely accurate KH value readings (with 0.01 accuracy).
If the KH value drops too quickly between the measurements, the device will repeat the test. If the result is confirmed, the user will receive a notification. An aquarist can set a value for the measurement difference. Depending on the user’s preference, the test water can be returned to the aquarium or disposed of.

Maintaining parameters at appropriate levels

The KH keeper measures aquarium water properties and adjusts the liquid dosing processes using a connected dosing pump. This helps keep the KH value at a set level. Soon, this feature will also work with calcium reactors and 3rd party pumps via our Power switcher.

Notifications are sent when the KH value is outside of the set range or when the KH value increases or decreases too quickly.

Actions – interoperability with other Reef Factory devices

Actions make it possible to connect our devices with each other, thus offering a number of new possibilities. Combine KH keeper or KH keeper Plus with Dosing pumps. This will help to keep the KH value at the appropriate level.

Concentrated reagent 1 l and 2.5 l

Reagent mix ratio: 1 l of the reagent / 9 l of the RO water.
Prepared reagent test sample: 5-15ml (with KH value of 8, the prepared reagent consumption is about 8 ml).

1 l of the concentrated reagent is enough for 1,429 tests on average. The cost of a single test is about €0.035.

The Smart Reef system will notify the user when the reagent is running out.

What is the KH parameter?

This is one of the most important parameters in a marine aquarium.

The KH carbonate hardness (alkalinity) is a measure of the acidic capacity of water and the ability to stabilize the pH parameter affecting the corals. A stable KH value means healthy and colorful corals in the aquarium. Rapid changes in the KH value can lead to coral health issues. Corals from the SPS family, especially the acropora, are particularly sensitive to such changes.
